Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)
Otoplasty, also known as ear surgery, is designed to reshape and reposition the ears for a more balanced and proportionate look. Dr. Stafford R. Broumand can reduce the appearance of prominent ears and ears that stick out too far from the sides of the head. Many people experience conditions with the ears that make them feel very self-conscious about their appearance. Ear surgery can effectively improve these issues and create a better balance between the face and ears.
Ear Surgery Recovery and Results
Most patients will need to wear a head wrap for a few days after ear surgery, followed by a special headband to protect the ears while healing. Dr. Broumand will advise you to take protection measures against potential injury or extreme temperatures for a few months after ear surgery. Light activity can often be undertaken one day after the procedure. The results of ear surgery are immediately noticeable once the protective headwrap is removed.
